cell phones with Long battery

One aspect many consumers don't consider when buying a cell phone is its battery life. This is probably one of the most important features of a cell phone because all the bells and whistles of a fancy phone won't matter if the battery runs out.

Cell phone manufacturers often provide you with a phone's rated talk time, which is a good benchmark to go by, but it's sometimes not too accurate.

By and large, GSM phones win the battery life test, with talk times well above the 4-hour mark. Here is a snapshot of some long-lasting models from the last six months. Motorola made an especially good showing this time around.

The Motorola Krzr K1 for Cingular clocked in at an astonishing 9.25 hours of talk time while the Rizr Z3 for T-Mobile gave us 6.5 hours of gab life. Next up are Cingular's Nokia 2610 and the unlocked Sony Ericsson Z710i. Both delivered a solid eight hours of power. As a rule, CDMA phones deliver less juice than their GSM counterparts but there are a couple noteworthy models. When using its included extended battery, the Samsung UpStage for Sprint lasted five hours on a single charge.
